The Beauty of Creation
Psalms 19:1-6
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth
There is a burning desire deep within all of us to see the world. We long to travel and experience the people, cultures and beautiful landmarks of the world. Have you ever been to Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, or just been out in nature and stopped to look around? Have you ever just stood in awe of the majestic wonder and glorious splendor that is this planet?
I desire and long to experience everything that I can in my short, finite time that I have been given. I have one chance, one opportunity through these eyes, ears, nostrils and mouth to behold all this world offers. I know this life can be harsh, cruel and sometimes unfair, but it can also be a place of solitude, wonder and can bring peace and happiness.
When we think of GOD most of us probably have some descriptors assigned to his image and likeness. Recently, I have been trying to remove those descriptors. My reasoning? They are probably wrong. The problem is that most of us do not like to admit that we may be wrong. I for one have been wrong, way more then I have been right.
How can we get a true understanding of a GOD, A CREATOR GOD, if we do not get out there and experience the CREATION? Jesus in Matthew 28:19 instructed us to GO OUT INTO THE WORLD AND MAKE DISCIPLES! The message is clear. Go meet new people, experience this world and show GOD’s love to everyone you meet.
I am ready to see this world and meet all of GOD’s creation!
With Love,
Josh
